3rd Annual Spokatopia Outdoor Adventure Festival Saturday July 8, 2017

Once again the 3rd annual Spokatopia Outdoor Adventure festival is on this Saturday July 8 at Camp Sekani Park on the Spokane River.  At the 3rd annual Spokatopia festival goers will enjoy stand up paddle boarding, rock climbing, kayaking, slack lining, canoeing, geo-caching, SUP yoga, disc golf, mountain biking, yoga and other outdoor activities. The fun, festive atmosphere includes nearly 50 exhibitors, live music, a beer garden and food trucks, a mountain bike jump show with riders performing bike stunts, free bike shuttles to the top of the trail system at Camp Sekani, a trail run/walk, and the biggest bike demo and sales event of the year. All festival activities take place at Camp Sekani Park and Boulder Beach on the Spokane River just east of downtown Spokane from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. General admission is free, although some activities have a cost associated with them.

An hour before the festival kicks off, a 5k or 1.5 mile Up Chuck Challenge trail run or walk starts from the Camp Sekani parking lot at 9 a.m. on the Up Chuck Trail. The free outdoor “yoga for everyone” class starts at 10 a.m., and bike demos, paddleboard demos, slacklining and many other activities happen all day long (see schedule below). General admission to the festival is free, although outdoor adventure clinics, which sold out last year, cost $10-20 per person, and a $5 demo pass that is good for all-day bike and water sports demos, is available at Spokatopia.com and on the day of the festival. Full festival details and clinic registration are available at www.spokatopia.com.
